How many movers will there be?Depending on your job size, our teams range from 2 to 8 movers.

Can you unpack boxes at the delivery address?Yes, we offer unpacking services, but it is charged separately from the moving rate.

How can I get a moving quote?You can request a free estimate by filling out the form on our website’s “Get an Estimate” page. Please provide as many details as possible, including pictures of the items to be moved. We’ll send you a personalized quote shortly after.

Will the movers unmount my television?Movers can unmount the TV for additional charge.

Should I empty dressers and bedside tables?Yes, emptying them will reduce the weight and minimize the risk of damage. Also, small items can get lost if furniture is tipped over during the move.

Can you take furniture to Goodwill or other charities?Yes, at the regular hourly rate. We advise confirming with Goodwill that they can accept donations that day.

Can I reschedule or cancel my move?Yes, we understand that plans can change. Please let us know as soon as possible if you need to reschedule or cancel your move.

How big is the truck?A straight truck ranges anywhere between 18’ and 26’ long. A tractor trailer is 75’ long.

Can you pack small items?Yes, but packing is a separate cost, and we recommend adding an extra mover for efficiency. You can provide boxes or purchase them from us.

How many movers do you recommend for a 1-bedroom move?Typically, we recommend two movers, but the size of the move and accessibility of your locations may require more movers. Two movers can handle it but may take longer than three.

Can I ship my jewelry and important documents along with my household goods?We recommend not packing important documents or items such as personal financial information, car keys, insurance policies, cash, prescription medicine, licenses, birth certificates/passports, jewelry of extraordinary value, etc. You can take them with you or have them shipped separately by a friend or family member after you move in. These items are NOT covered by Stress Less Moving.

How much notice do you need for booking a move?We recommend booking your move at least 2-3 weeks in advance, especially during busy seasons. However, we will do our best to accommodate last-minute moves if our schedule allows.

Do you pick up trash after the job is finished?Yes, we clean up and dispose of any packing materials we used, including shrink wrap and used boxes.

What does PBO mean?PBO stands for items that are “Packed by Owner” (shipper).

Can you take old furniture to the dump?Yes, we can. Travel time is charged at the standard rate, and there’s a minimum dump fee of $70. You can provide the dump location for quicker service.

What is the latest time the movers work?Unless there are building restrictions, our movers will work until the job is complete.

Can I choose the date that I want my items delivered?We offer guaranteed delivery options. Please speak with your Relocation Consultant to see if that option is available for you and to inquire about pricing.

Is your company insured?Absolutely. We are fully licensed and insured to protect your belongings during the entire moving process. We can provide more details about our insurance options upon request.

How do you handle fragile or valuable items?We take extra care with fragile and valuable items by using specialized packing materials and equipment. For large or delicate pieces, like pianos or antiques, we have the expertise and equipment to ensure safe transport.

Do you disconnect or connect a washer/dryer?Yes, our skilled movers are happy to assist with provided that access is good. However, please be aware that this service is at your own risk. We recommend hiring a specialist to handle these tasks before the moving day.

Do you provide boxes?Boxes can be provided. If you are interested in buying boxes, you may do so with your relocation consultant. The sizes vary. There are small, medium, large, china, and wardrobe boxes

If something is damaged during my move isn’t Stress Less liable to replace it?Stress Less Moving is only liable to replace or repair damaged/missing items if you chose to purchase the Full Value Protection for additional cost. We also work with a 3rd party company as another option for protection. In the event that you have chosen to go with the Free Basic Coverage, the liability is 30 cent per pound for local moves and 60 cents per pound for long distance.

Can I get a Certificate of Insurance for my building?Yes, we can provide a COI after your reservation is made, at no charge. COI is up to $1,000,000.

Can I request a specific route for the move?Yes, as long as the roads you propose allow truck access. If not, we will find an alternative route.

What payment methods do you accept?We accept a variety of payment methods, Apple Pay with an extra fee, bank transfers, and cash. Full payment details will be provided during the booking process. NO CHECKS.

Can you deliver items to a second address?Yes, but an extra stop will incur a $10 fee. The rest is charged at the regular hourly rate.

Do you move pianos?Yes, our moving team is trained to move all kinds of pianos.

Do you offer junk removal services?Yes, we provide junk removal services. Whether you need to get rid of old furniture or other unwanted items, we can take them to the appropriate disposal facility for you. This service is charged at the regular hourly rate, with any applicable disposal fees.

Do you disassemble and reassemble furniture?Yes, we disassemble furniture (beds, cupboards, etc.) and reassemble it at your new location if requested.

Can I go in the truck along with the movers?No, this is not possible due to safety and insurance reasons.

What should I do with pets during the move?Ideally, leave pets with friends, family, or at a pet hotel. If not possible, keep them in a separate room during the move to ensure their safety.

Do you provide packing and unpacking services?Yes! At a separate cost we offer full-service moving, which includes packing and unpacking your items to ensure everything is safely transported to your new location.

Do you charge for wrapping and protecting the furniture?No. We always wrap and protect your items with blankets and shrink wrap before placing them on the truck. It is always a part of our service.
